Vinyl Wont Stick To Yeti

Vinyl wont stick to yeti. You can do this by sticking your tape on multiple surfaces before you pick up your vinyl. No i don t clear coat the vinyl. Use a decoupage glue designed for use on plastic to seal and optionally adhere the stickers for the best results. I found a really cool patterned matte vinyl by the paper studio sold by hobby lobby and made a decal to place on another yeti cup however the vinyl will not stick.
Long story short oracal 651 will not stick to it and oracal 3651 is barely hanging on thats whats in the pic. I hear conflicting ideas on that. You want a few of the fibers to stick to the tape to make it less sticky for your vinyl. The water tank manufacturer is rotoplas and its a polyethylene material which im starting to find out has a non stick agent in it to help prevent.
I have a 20 17 bud light decal that i wanna put on the lid but i m scared to waste it if it will not stay on. Most people say the vinyl needs room to breathe so it s not good to coat it. Whether you re working with stickers that stick to plastic pretty well or those that just slide right off you can use decoupage glue to put those stickers permanently in place. I ve created a couple decals for powder coated yeti cups using oracle 651 glossy vinyl and applied with no problems.
Has anyone tried it. Customer has a pressure washing business and wanted his water tank lettered up. I may have to try out a pos decal to test it. Another way to help this is to de stick your tape.
Sometimes i ll run a hot gun or hair dryer over it as the heat makes the vinyl stick a bit better. Usually you have to scrape pretty hard to get the vinyl off unless it s a really thin piece.
